Push Button – A button typically located on the top half of the pole that lets you tilt the canopy.
Auto Tilt – The same crank or wheel used to open the canopy is also used to tilt the umbrella.
Collar Tilt – A collar located on the pole that can be twisted to tilt the shade.
Easy Tilt – A wheel located near the top of the pole tilts the canopy.
Rotational Tilt – Spin any rib clockwise to tilt the umbrella and counterclockwise to return the umbrella upright.
Manual Tilt – The umbrella is manually tilted sometimes with the use of a tool.
Crank Infinite Tilt – The umbrella can be tilted 360 degrees and in all directions.

Push-up – The collar of the umbrella is pushed up to open the canopy and locked in place, typically with a pin.
Crank – Turning a crank located in the center of the pole opens the canopy.
Pulley – A cord or rope is pulled to open the canopy and typically held in place with a pin.
Easy lift arm – This lift type is used on Galtech cantilever umbrellas. To open the canopy, grab the easy lift arm and lift up until it is locked in place.
Short Wave - Instant warm up time with no susceptibility to wind. Traditionally used for outdoor applications in cold climates. Emits an orange glow.
Medium Wave - Short 1-3 minute warm up time with limited susceptibility to wind. Used for outdoor applications in mild climates. Emits a warm ambient glow.
Long Wave - 5+ minute warm up time with a high susceptibility to wind. Used for indoor applications. Does not emit a glow.
